Angels watching

We have spent several long phone conversations discussing the next course of action over joel's feet, and all physicians involved agree we should get a second opinion before putting him through any tests.  So I called the Phoenix Children's Neurology Group to set up an appt.  The receptionist told me that they weren't able to get us in til after January or February.  I told her we would take what we could get.  She put me on hold so she could see which of their doctors were best suited to our needs and when she came back on, I actually ended up choking up a bit because things have just been so hard to watch when Joel is in pain.  She put me on hold again and when she came back this time, she said "How 'bout tomorrow?  I can't handle it when moms cry on the phone."  I told her she was an absolute angel and told her we'd be there!  I even found childcare for the other two so that we didn't all have to be subjected to Phoenix downtown traffic in the afternoon/evening commute (thank you, Heather!).  I feel very fortunate to have gotten us into the doctor's so quickly.  This doctor is also apparently highly acclaimed in the pediatric circle, and there are a lot of MD's in the group so we are hoping that the more heads we involve, the sooner we will have an answer and plan of action.  We are just continuing to focus on the good moments and help Joel be distracted as best we can from the pain in his feet.  Your continued prayers are essential!!  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  I will write more after our appointment.
